As a junior in High School I was able to bench 365 and squat 605.  My senior year my coach who helped me reach that point was fired, I got hurt, and I never took lifting weights seriously again.


For the last seven years I’ve been scared to put more than 185 pounds on the bar to benchpreess.   In my head past that my shoulders wouldn’t be able to handle the weight.

On Thursday I tested rather I could handle 225, and was pleasantly surprised.  Today I benched 225 20 times ( I know my form is off ).


To get 20 reps despite this being my second attempt in 7 years is proof I was letting fear hinder my ability.

Take time today to think about abilities your fear is hindering.   Once you acknowledge the fear sit it to the side and achive something you knew you could but were afraid to try.
